Premier Scales & Systems is looking for a Class B CDL driver.  (Full or part time / temporary position)

This person will be responsible for observing safety procedures regarding the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, maintaining DOT and CDL certifications, and complying with reporting

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications Valid Class B (with air brake endorsement) license.

This position may develop into a fulltime, benefit eligible position.

Job Responsibilities:
Will require morning, afternoon, and evening hours. Must have the physical ability to lift and handle 50 pounds routinely. Must be able to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.

Scale Technician, with a CDL Class B position available in Louisville, KY & Evansville, IN

Summary of Position:

The Calibration/Scale Technician performs installation, maintenance and repair of precision weighing equipment along with the calibration of test measurement and equipment using multimeters, power supplies, frequency counters, calipers, calibrated weights, hydraulic and torque devices. The accredited calibration certifications and verifications is completed on industrial weighing equipment in support of various manufacturing facilities including automobile, chemical, power generation, academic, food and food manufacturing, and several other industries. The scope of the calibrations performed are from laboratory equipment up to and including truck and railroad scales.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide precision calibration, according to detailed procedures, specifications, blueprints, drawings, and other technical requirements.

• Maintain documentation in an organized and controlled manner using site and company compliance and standards.

• Collect, compile, measure, summarize, and record data gathered during calibrations to prepare calibration reports and certificates.

• Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and perform corrective action via adjustments, component replacement, correction factors, etc. per Company specific procedures and processes.

• Understand measurement errors and contributing factors that may result in inaccurate measurements.

• Communicate with other technicians, managers, internal and external customers and vendors.

• Comply with all required ISO standards.

Essential Functions

• Must be able to follow detailed procedures with limited or no supervision.

• Experience with electronic theory, physical/dimensional principles, and calibration methodologies.

• Ability to learn and setup, calibrate, and troubleshoot temperature, pressure, flow, humidity, level, balancing, density, viscosity instrumentation, pH and conductivity analyzers, control valves multimeters and oscilloscopes.

• Ability to perform general math and algebra functions

• Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, technical writing ability preferred

• Must be able to troubleshoot, align and optimize precision equipment.

• Must possess a strong attention to details

• Must be dependable and have a solid work ethic

• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or ISO 17025

• Knowledge of measurement uncertainty is beneficial.

• Basic welding or torch skills.

• Must be able to use and properly care for precision measurement equipment.

• Ability to work in an on-call rotation and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge or experience in commercial and or military calibration with the ability to calibrate temperature, pressure, flow, vibration, mass, electrical, electronics, time, frequency, radio frequency, torque, force and dimensional is preferred but not required.

• Knowledge of heavy capacity scales is beneficial

• Must have the ability to safely operate hand tools

• Must have the ability to safely drive a fork truck

• Strong interpersonal skills, such as communicating well with customers, management, as well as other areas of the organization, are essential for this position.

• This position requires an individual who is team oriented and proactive in resolving issues.

• Must have the ability to arrive at a work location on-time

• Must possess a sense of integrity that comes with a strong work ethic.

• Must have a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programs and have ability to understand various other software programs.

• Must be self-motivated and follow detailed written procedures.

• A valid state issued driver’s license, with a clean driving record and a CDL Class B

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and consent to a random drug testing program

• Must be able to pass technical proficiency assessments.

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; military experience in measurement and diagnostic equipment or secondary education in a technical discipline.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to frequently move test equipment, up to 50 pounds repeatedly, to carts for transport up to 1,150 pounds to other areas of the facility.

• Occasionally lift equipment greater than 50 pounds with assistance.

• Ability to occasionally position self by climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling to complete calibration or other work.

• Must be able to operate a computer and read procedures from a monitor or from printouts.

• Ability to stand, stoop, or sit for long periods as testing requires.

• Capability to move about inside a lab, office, and various manufacturing environments.

• Able to work in various weather conditions. (heat, cold, rain…)

Account Manager

Premier Scales & Systems, provides accredited calibration services and products throughout the continental US. Premier Scales & Systems also performs scale service and repair in Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky from our Mid-West Offices.

Premier currently has an opening for an Account Manager / Industrial Sales.

The successful applicant will be a very driven, motivated person who will be the primary point of contact for the customers in their area. They are responsible for complete account maintenance. The AM is also responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships in effort to provide solutions that meet or exceed the customer’s expectations. The Account Manager will be provided a Company car, laptop and smart phone.

Key Responsibilities:

Account Management

Main Point of Contact for Customers in Assigned Territory; Complete Account Maintenance responsibilities

Annual Contract review with all Customers

Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular contact via phone, email, and regular customer site visits.
Provide solutions for all customer issues, requests and concerns by involving other departments as needed. This includes quality, safety, administration, metrology lab, product sales, etc.
Increase revenue from existing customers through recommendations for new products and services
Generate service quotes with assistance from service and sales departments as needed

Territory Growth/New Account Acquisitions

Increase customer base through regular prospecting, cold-calling, and follow-up

Sales

Follow sales process from initial customer interest, through quoting, negotiation, closing, processing order, and customer follow up.
Work with sales department to provide efficiency during the sales process

Marketing

Utilize available tools to market products and services

Knowledge

Become the “Trusted Advisor” on products and services we offer.
Attend provided training such as meetings, presentations, and online programs
Seek and utilize additional resources whenever possible.
Research and learn our customers’ businesses and industries

Education and Experience: BA/BS degree in business, sales or related field is preferred but not required. Strong Computer Skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and solid CRM software experience is strongly preferred.
